Google might launch a super-cheap smartphone in India

During the visit of Google’s chief executive Sundar Pichai, he mentioned that the prices of entry-level handset in India must cheap as $30 or less so all areas of the communities have access to the internet and digital world. Pichai made this statement while speaking at his Alma Mater IIT-Kharagpur. He also extended that extra focus must be provided to areas such as better connectivity and local language support to gain India its spot among global players in the era of the digital financial system.

Worth observing, the search giant launched earlier a program called “Android One” which spotted the company collaborating with handset manufacturer such as Karbonn, Spice and Micromax to roll out high quality, yet very affordable Android handset for shoppers in growing economies like India.
